Buyer's Check · pre-acquisition technical review

Know what you are buying before you wire the money.

The listing shows verified revenue. It does not show that revenue is falling this month, that a third of it is consulting, that the platform the product depends on is being sunset, or that the domain expires in five months. We check the part around the number, in 48 hours, with evidence you can reproduce.

Read the three sample reports below first.

Three public sample reports on real listings. Same method, same format you will receive. If your report has fewer than three verified findings, you do not pay.

What you get

Verdict on four axes
revenue quality, tech and product risk, security surface, owner dependency. Each green, yellow or red with the reason in one line.
Price versus market
asking price against the last 12 months of verified revenue and the TrustMRR median multiple (1.8x on 162 closed deals).
Findings with evidence
every finding says what, how to reproduce, what proves it, what it means for you. No linter output.
Ten questions for the seller
each with the artifact that closes it, so a vague answer is visible on the call.
Checked and clean
the list of what we looked at and found in order, so you know what was covered.
Could not be verified
honest list of what needs the seller's access.

Three sample reports

Conductor (QuickBooks Desktop API)

Fast, clean site. The risk is not on the site: Intuit is sunsetting the platform the product wraps, and 70 percent of MRR sits outside the public price.

MRR $38.6k · asking $1.25M

bookedin.ai

Last 30 days are 44 percent of stated MRR, consulting mixed with software, domain younger than the business and expiring in 161 days.

MRR $13.1k · asking $1.0M

Polypick

Homepage runs a fabricated payout counter and reviewer avatars from randomuser.me; revenue is already down a third month over month, which is why the asking multiple is 0.16x instead of the usual 1.8x.

How it works

  1. Send the listing link.TrustMRR, Acquire.com, Microns, or a private data room link, and one line about what worries you.
  2. 48 hours. We run 84 checks on the public surface (site, security headers, exposed paths, DNS, domain, email, dependencies, listing math), then read the results by hand and write the findings.
  3. Report page. You get a private report page in the same format as the samples, and a 20-minute call if you want to walk through it before talking to the seller.

Who this is for / not for

For. someone about to spend $10k to $300k on a SaaS, mobile app or content business and who wants a second pair of eyes that is not the seller's and not the marketplace's.

Not for. full technical due diligence with code access, security penetration testing, legal or financial audit. If the deal is above $500k, hire a DD firm; we can tell you what to ask them.

FAQ

"TrustMRR already verifies revenue."

It does, and we rely on it. We check what the revenue number does not tell you: whether it is falling right now, whether part of it is service, whether the product depends on something that is going away, and what the site and infrastructure look like to a new owner.

"I have a due diligence checklist."

A checklist tells you what to ask. The report tells you what we already found without asking, with proof, and turns the checklist into questions the seller cannot answer vaguely.

"Do you need access from the seller?"

No. Part A is done entirely from outside: public site, DNS, headers, the listing card. Part B is the list of questions where access is needed, with the exact artifact that closes each one.

"Is $199 worth it on a $30k deal?"

It is 0.7 percent of the deal. One of the three sample listings has revenue falling 56 percent against its stated MRR; that is visible on the public card if you know where to look, and it is a $500k difference in price.

"What if you find nothing?"

Then the report says so, with the list of what was checked, and you do not pay: fewer than three verified findings means the check is free. A clean report is information too, and it is the one you can forward to a co-investor.

"Who does this?"

Aleksandr, a developer who has spent the last two years shipping and auditing web products and trading systems, and who built the tooling behind these checks. Method and limits are on every report page.
